Covid Updates

Code Orange updates as of Oct 30/20

With the recent rising number of COVID-19 cases across the province, we have been ordered by Hockey MB to implement stricter social distancing measures in our facilities.

According to Hockey MB, beginning Nov 2, 2020, in all health regions outside the Winnipeg Health Region, hockey programming can continue with usual capacity reduced to 25%. Facilities are required to limit capacity in all areas including dressing rooms.

Hockey MB strongly suggests that players dress at home in order to comply with facilities, and limit spectators to one per player regardless of the total max capacity.

Masks are mandatory at all indoor public places.

Rink facility mandates trump Hockey MB regulations if different.

The COVID-19 communications volunteer of each team must keep a written log of all skaters and spectators singing in for practices and games. These will be turned over to Public Health in a case where contact tracing needs to take place.

Max Capacity for spectators at Parkland Minor Hockey League Rinks are as follows:

  • Swan River Centennial Arena – 56 total
  • Roblin – 40 total (1 per player only)
  • Dauphin (Rotary & CUP) – 50 total
  • Grandview – 50 total
  • Gilbert Plains – 25 total
  • Rose – 58 total
  • Winnipegosis – 50 total

Please remember that these policies, mandates and rules are always changing. As a board we will do our best to keep the website updated. However, if at any time you need clarification or have questions you can contact the rink administration directly.
